Following our acquisition of the Sherman Treaters business, Pillar Technologies manufactures corona treatment systems under both the Sherman Treaters and Pillar Technologies brands and remains committed to maintaining and supporting both brands in the market.

Pillar Technologies’ innovative new “Universal” corona treatment station with interchangeable electrode magazines can be operated as a bare-roll, covered-roll, or dualdielectric system. The electrode magazine on the Universal can be changed in a matter of seconds. Among the options:

• Stainless-steel segmented electrodes (3 to 12.5 mm), which allow operators using covered rolls to treat various web widths and "lane" treat while achieving higher treatment levels.
• Stainless finned electrodes, used with covered ground rolls for hard-to-treat, nonconductive materials with a fixed treating width.
• Ceramic round electrodes for treating metallized, thin, or sensitive substrates.
• Range of roll coverings available including glass covered steel for particularly difficult applications

Kugo and Pillar Technologies are also exhibiting the new IntellaDyne™ generator series - the latest product to be launched in Pillar Technologies’ corona surface treatment product range. With a range of models initially offering output power from 5 – 15kW, the IntellaDyne™ series stands out through its compact design, innovative use of IGBT technology and has a user friendly Touch Screen operator interface with clear simple controls, fault diagnosis and language selection.
